WHITEWATER, CA (May 17, 2021) – Two people sustained injuries after a traffic accident on 10 Freeway west of Whitewater Saturday morning, May 15.
 
The accident happened around 8:20 a.m. along the eastbound lanes of the freeway near the Whitewater rest area. According to the Riverside County Fire Department, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
 
Firefighters freed one person from the wreckage. Two patients were hurt, one with moderate injuries while the other had minor injuries.
 
At this time, details about what led to the crash were not immediately available. Further investigation is underway.
