RIVERSIDE, CA (October 19, 2021) – Paramedics sent two people to the hospital following a wrong-way crash on Monroe Street on October 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue.
 
Based on an initial report, a truck was driving on the wrong side of Magnolia prior to the crash. At the same time, an unidentified vehicle was waiting at the light to make a left turn onto Monroe. Subsequently, the vehicles collided along with a third car.
 
As a result, the wreckage trapped one person in one of the vehicles. Emergency crews responded to free the victim using the jaws of life. Crews transported the victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to a local area hospital. In addition, paramedics transported another victim to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
