Vehicle Overturns on Shangri La Drive in Santa Clarita, 2 Hospitalized

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (June 9, 2022) – Two people were taken to a hospital after a rollover accident on Shangri La Drive in Santa Clarita on Saturday morning, June 4.
 
The accident happened around 10:50 a.m. just south of Soledad Canyon Road behind the Vallarta Supermarket. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a vehicle had crashed into a tree and overturned down the embankment, where it landed on its side.
 
First responders found the driver and passenger trapped in the wreckage, requiring a technical rescue.
 
After a 20-minute technical rescue, paramedics then took the patients to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The accident is still under investigation.
