Traffic Accident near 3rd Street in East LA Involves Sheriff’s Department SUV

 
EAST LOS ANGELES, CA (November 11, 2021) – Two deputies were injured in a traffic accident near Third Street and Mednik Avenue, Wednesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 10:00 a.m. on November 10. A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department SUV slammed head-on into a traffic-light pole for unknown reasons. The impact caused extensive front-end damage on the vehicle and injured the two deputies inside.
 
The deputies in the SUV were responding to a call when the driver lost control of the car, resulting in the crash.
 
Responding paramedics transported the deputies to a hospital for treatment. One of the deputies suffered head injuries, while the other suffered a possible broken leg.
