Suspect and Passenger Killed in Police Pursuit Collision on Fullerton Road and Aguiro Street

 
ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA (July 4, 2022) — Two people died in a police pursuit crash on Fullerton Road on Friday, July 1.
 
At about 10:40 p.m., La Habra police officers implemented a traffic stop on a driver who may have been under the influence.
 
Police said that at first, the driver pulled over around Harbor Boulevard and Arbolita Drive. However, after that, the driver then took off at a high rate of speed.
 
Police pursued the driver. Yet, the chase ended when the driver collided with another vehicle near Fullerton Road and Aguiro Street.
 
The fiery accident killed the driver fleeing the stop, and a passenger in their vehicle, police stated. Officers declared both of them dead at the scene.
 
Paramedics rushed the driver of the other vehicle to the hospital. According to reports, he is expected to be okay.
 
The investigation of the incident is underway.
