Pedestrian Accident on Vermont Avenue in South LA Leaves 2 Pedestrian in Critical Condition
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (December 13, 2021) – Two people were critically injured in a pedestrian accident on Vermont Avenue in South Los Angeles on Thursday evening.
The accident happened around 8:35 p.m. in the area 8539 South Vermont Avenue near Manchester Avenue and Harbor Freeway. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a vehicle struck the pedestrians, trapping them underneath it.
As a result, the pedestrians suffered major injuries. Paramedics took them to a hospital in critical conditions.
It is unclear if the involved driver has stayed after the crash. Further investigation is underway.
