POWAY, CA (November 16, 2021) – Paramedics sent two children to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Poway Road on November 11.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Community Road shortly before 3:30 PM.
 
Based on an initial report, the vehicle of a San Diego County Sheriff’s deputy collided with a Nissan Rogue driven by a 28-year-old woman. Police said five children, all under the age of 10, were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. As of now, the details surrounding the incident are not yet available.
 
As a result, two of the children sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported the victims to Rady Children’s Hospital for treatment.
 
At this point, the Poway Traffic Division along with the Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is still investigating the crash.
