NIPTON, CA (August 22, 2022) – Paramedics airlifted at least two people to a hospital following a two-vehicle crash on 15 Freeway on August 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred about 5 miles after Cima Road from the northbound lanes around 5:52 PM.
 
Based on reports, a red Dodge Challenger and a black Volvo collided in the lanes. The California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the incident but did not yet state the details that caused the crash.
 
As a result, three people suffered injuries in the collision. Rescue crews requested two medical helicopters to transport two victims to Las Vegas University Medical Center. They transported the third victim by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital.
 
At this point, additional details were limited. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office.
