Rear-End Accident with Semi Truck on 15 Freeway in Victorville Sends 2 People to Hospital

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (January 12, 2022) – Officers airlifted two people to a hospital after a rear-end accident on 15 Freeway in Victorville on Monday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 2:11 p.m. on January 10 just north of the Stoddard Wells Road off-ramp. According to the Victorville Police Department, a red sedan carrying a woman and her baby rear-ended a semi truck for unknown reasons.
 
The semi truck was parked on the right hand shoulder while the driver was changing a tire.
 
Responding officers requested an air ambulance to transport two people, including the child, to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
Crews closed all southbound lanes of the freeway for nearly an hour while they cleared the wreckage.
 
Meanwhile, police arrested the woman at the scene.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
