Morning Accident on Village Drive in Victorville Sends 2 People to Hospital

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (April 15, 2022) – Two people were airlifted in a two-vehicle accident on Village Drive in Victorville on Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 5:52 a.m. on April 15 at the intersection with Puesta Del Sol Drive. According to reports, a white Honda sedan and a pickup truck collided for unknown reasons.
 
Emergency crews arrived and located the Honda with major front-end damage. A woman was trapped behind the wheel. The pickup truck overturned onto its side.
 
Firefighters from Victorville City Fire requested two helicopters to respond and land at the scene. Mercy Air helicopters landed on Village Drive and airlifted two patients to trauma centers with unspecified injuries.
 
Crews closed Village Drive for over an hour between Eto Camino and Blue Canyon Drive while they cleared the wreckage.
 
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
