Deadly Accident on La Cadena Drive in Colton Involves School Bus

 
COLTON, CA (November 11, 2021) – A tow truck driver died in a traffic accident on La Cadena Drive in Colton Tuesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 1:08 p.m. on November 9, at Litton Avenue. According to the Colton Police Department, the crash involved a white tow truck, a Colton Joint Unified School District bus and another vehicle.
 
The bus did not have any students on board at the time of the crash.
 
When officers arrived, they found the driver of the tow truck unresponsive. Firefighter paramedics rendered aid to the patient, but the driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
 
The identity of the deceased was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.
 
The investigation is still ongoing. Police urged anyone with further information to contact them at (909) 370-5000.
