Trevor Davison Killed in Two-Car Accident on 91 Freeway [Corona, CA]

Authorities Identify Passenger Killed in Corona Two-Car Crash

 
CORONA, CA (April 17, 2021) – Trevor W. Davison was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Corona late Tuesday evening, April 13.
 
The accident happened around 10:50 p.m. on westbound 91 Freeway at Serfas Club Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 29-year-old Fullerton resident was the front-seat passenger in a Chevrolet Sonic traveling in the slow lane of the freeway.
 
A black Toyota Corolla was several miles ahead of the Sonic when the driver lost control and hit a guardrail. The Sonic then veered back into the slow lane, where the Toyota stalled, all lights completely knocked out.
 
The Sonic struck the rear of the Corolla, pushing it forward and into the third lane.
 
The force of the impact caused Davison’s head to hit the windshield. He suffered fatal trauma and died at the scene, according to the Corona Fire Department crews.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Sonic sustained minor injuries and was treated at the hospital.
 
The two occupants of the Toyota exited the vehicle and safely ran to the shoulder prior to the second crash. They were not injured.
 
Officers partially shut down the westbound side of the freeway while they cleared the wreckage. All lanes were reopened around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
