Transportation Officer Hit, Injured by Hit-and-Run Vehicle at Flower Street in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 7, 2023) — A Los Angeles Department Transportation Officer was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver at Flower Street and Olympic Boulevard.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened around 7:00 p.m. on May 12. The LADOT officer was conducting traffic at the time. After she directed the driver of a newer model Mercedes- Benz C-Class with a Texas license plate to stop westbound on Olympic Boulevard to direct other traffic, the Mercedes-Benz driver disregarded her order. Subsequently, she struck the officer who suffered minor injuries in the accident.
 
Rather than pulling over to stop, the driver — described as a woman in her 20s or 30s — fled the scene.
