Two-Car Accident on Lakeview Drive near Highway 243 Injures Palm Desert Man

 
IDYLLWILD, CA (August 19, 2021) – Tobias Plonski sustained injuries in a two-car accident in Idyllwild Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 1:50 p.m. on August 14, in the area of Lakeview Drive near Highway 243. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 56-year-old victim from Palm Desert was driving a gray Honda Element northbound on the highway. At the same time, Abigail Tsai, a 32-year-old West Lake Village resident, was driving a silver 2003 Toyota Highlander westbound on Lakeview Drive.
 
Tsai attempted to make a turn at the intersection when she broadsided the Element. The impact caused Plonski to lose control and crash the mountainside.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and found Plonski suffering from injuries. Paramedics transported him to Eisenhower Medical Center for treatment.
 
Meanwhile, Tsai was unharmed.
 
At this time, the crash is still under investigation.
