81-Year-Old Bicyclist Tommy Le Dies after Struck by Car on Tully Road near McLaughlin Avenue

 
SAN JOSE, CA (March 9, 2021) – An 81-year-old man died Saturday after a bicycle accident in San Jose, police said.
 
The accident happened just before 1:00 p.m., March 6 on Tully Road near McLaughlin Avenue. According to police, a white Lexus RX3 SUV made a right turn from westbound Tully onto northbound McLaughlin when it struck the bicyclist, who was also westbound on Tully.
 
The Lexus then hit a Chevrolet SUV that was northbound on McLaughlin Avenue, police said.
 
The impact caused the bicyclist significant injuries. First responders rushed to him to a hospital, where he later died.
 
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office identified the victim as To Le of San Jose.
 
Meanwhile, the drivers of the two vehicles were not injured.
 
It is unclear if the driver of the Lexus will be charged with any crime. The driver cooperated with police after the collision and was not arrested.
