Tim Schultz, Chris Teagardin Die, Oscar Delacruz Detained in Police Chase Accident on Woodman Avenue at Lanark Street

 
PANORAMA CITY, CA (February 2, 2023) — Tim Schultz and Chris Teagardin died in a police chase crash on Woodman Avenue at Lanark Street Tuesday night.
 
According to Los Angeles police, the chase started around 7:35 p.m. Officers received word of a stolen truck, and a pursuit unfolded in the 10600 block of El Dorado Avenue.
 
As 32-year-old Oscar Delacruz led officers on a chase, he crashed into a silver sedan at Woodman Avenue and Lanark Street. Soon after, police arrived and found the cars at the intersection’s sidewalk with debris littering the scene.
 
Subsequently, Delacruz tried to flee from officers but was apprehended after being tased. Another occupant of the stolen truck suffered unknown injuries and was brought to the hospital along with Delacruz.
 
Back at the scene, 49-year-old Timothy Schultz and 47-year-old Christopher Teagardin — long-time companions who were in the sedan — died in the crash. One died at the scene, and the other died at a hospital.
