Golf Legend Tiger Woods Recovering from Multiple Leg Injuries after LA Crash
RACHO PALOS VERDES, CA (February 25, 2021) – Golf legend Tiger Woods sustained serious injuries after a car accident Tuesday morning in Los Angeles.
The accident happened just after 7:00 a.m., February 23 on Hawthorne Boulevard at Blackhorse Road.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Woods was driving a 2021 Genesis GV80 SUV at a high rate of speed. He was going downhill on a winding road when he lost control of the car. The SUV then crossed the divider, crashed into a curb and overturned multiple times into a brush, where it landed on its side.
A resident near the crash scene called authorities reporting the accident.
First responders found Woods conscious in the driver’s seat with his seatbelt fastened. They extricated him from the car’s windshield. Ambulance then transported him to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for treatment of multiple leg injuries.
The sources added that the front end of the SUV was heavily damaged and the windscreen frame had been removed.
Officials have not revealed the cause of the accident. The LASD’s Lomita Station is working on the investigation.
