Tiannah Ruvalcaba Arrested, Woman Dies in DUI Accident on Fernbridge Drive
HUMBOLDT, CA (February 2, 2021) – Tiannah Ruvalcaba, 25, of Phillipsville was arrested for DUI after a fatal accident on Fernbridge Drive in Humboldt.
Around 1:13 a.m., the CHP received a report of a head-on collision north of the Finch Creek Road under-crossing.
According to reports, Ruvalcaba was driving a 2006 Honda Civic northbound on Fernbridge Drive. At the same time, a 1988 Ford Mustang was traveling southbound on Fernbridge Drive, approaching the Honda.
For unknown reasons, one of the vehicles crossed over the broken yellow line separating the lines and the vehicles collided head-on.
As a result, the driver of the Mustang suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
The driver of the Mustang’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
Ruvalcaba also suffered major injuries in the crash and was taken to St. Joseph hospital for treatment. Police later arrested her on suspicion of DUI.
The CHP Humboldt Area office is continuing to investigate the fatal DUI accident. Police are searching for any witnesses.
