CHP Patrol SUV, 2 Other Vehicles Seriously Damaged in Three-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 in Willits

 
WILLITS, CA (June 13, 2022) – A three-vehicle accident on Highway 101 caused severe damages to the vehicles involved on Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on June 12 at about 9:47 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a CHP Patrol SUV, a pickup truck, and an unidentified vehicle collided near the Ridgewood Summit.
 
The impact of the collision caused major damage to the rear of the CHP Patrol SUV. The pickup truck also sustained significant damages, while the third vehicle went down the cliff on northbound Highway 101.
 
As per reports, one of the vehicles was also overturned.
 
Authorities did not release information about any possible injuries sustained in the collision.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
