ISLA VISTA, CA (May 30, 2022) – Three people died in a multi-vehicle accident near El Colegio Road and Stadium Road in Isla Vista on Saturday night.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:00 p.m. on May 28. According to reports, the crash involved three vehicles. One of the vehicles was driving recklessly and ran a red light. Another car hit a tree.
 
Santa Barbara County Fire confirmed at least three people died and five others were injured.
 
Two of the patients suffered serious injuries and three had non-life-threatening injuries.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. However, further investigation is underway.
