Wrong-Way Accident near El Camino Avenue in Sacramento Leaves 3 Injured, One Arrested for DUI

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (December 1, 2021) – Three people were injured in a wrong-way accident near El Camino Avenue and 80 Freeway, early Tuesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 1:00 a.m. on November 30 near Natomas. According to the California Highway Patrol, a BMW was traveling in the wrong direction when it collided with a tractor trailer.
 
As a result, three people suffered injuries, two from the tractor trailer and one from the BMW.
 
The crash also caused a fire to billow along the freeway.
 
The driver of the BMW was treated for minor injuries. Police later arrested them on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
Further investigation into the crash is underway.
