Rick Hill Involved in Injury Crash on South Western Avenue in Santa Maria

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (November 4, 2021) – Police identified Rick Hill as the motorist involved in a multi-vehicle crash on South Western Avenue on November 1.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at West Cook Street shortly before 1:30 PM. Based on an initial report, 61-year-old Santa Maria resident Hill was driving eastbound on West Cook in a green Prius prior to the crash.
 
Then, he stopped at the intersection to look both ways. At the same time, a black SUV ran the stop sign going southbound at a high rate of speed, clipping and completely removing his rear bumper. Subsequently, three other vehicles were part of the collision, including a grey sedan with a damaged passenger side front.
 
As a result, three people sustained injuries in the incident.
 
At this point, the Santa Maria Police Department is investigating the incident. Also, no other details are available.
