Injuries Sustained in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 12 in Kenwood

KENWOOD, CA (November 4, 2021) – At least three people suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 12 on October 28.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Adobe Canyon Road shortly after 8:30 AM. Based on an initial report, a woman was driving a Kia Soul eastbound on Highway 12 at the time of the crash.

When she put her turn signal on and slowed to make a left turn onto Adobe Canyon Road, a Saab rear-ended her vehicle. Then, impact pushed it into oncoming traffic, where it collided head-on with a Chevy Express van. Subsequently, the van flipped onto its side and landed into a ditch on the northern edge of the road. The Saab slammed into a wall at TIPS Roadside Restaurant.

As a result, the woman and the two other drivers sustained injuries in the incident.

At this point, the CHP is still investigating the incident. Also, no other details are available.

When behind the wheel, keep your eyes on the road and observe the movement of vehicles around you. Practice defensive driving when approaching intersections and don’t let external factors distract you. Always wear your seatbelt and mind your speed.
