Hit-and-Run Crash with Metro Bus on Pacific Boulevard in Huntington Park Injures 3

 
HUNTINGTON PARK, CA (August 3, 2022) – Three people were injured in a hit-and-run crash on Pacific Boulevard in Huntington Park early Sunday morning, July 31.
 
The accident happened around 1:16 a.m. at Clarendon Avenue. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a vehicle was heading eastbound when it ran a red light and slammed into a Metro bus that was traveling northbound through the intersection.
 
As a result, the bus driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a light pole on the side of the street.
 
Following the crash, the hit-and-run driver fled the scene on foot.
 
The bus driver and two passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Firefighters on the scene had to cut into the frame of the bus to free the driver.
 
Authorities are still investigating the crash and on the lookout for the hit-and-run suspect.
