EL CAJON, CA (April 1, 2021) – Three people suffered injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Jamacha Road on March 25.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just south of Main at approximately 5:40 PM.
 
Based on a report, a tow truck hauling two vehicles made a sudden turn on Jamacha. Subsequently, it collided with another southbound vehicle and then crashed into a stand of palm trees outside an apartment complex. After the truck came to rest, the driver got out and ran away.
 
As a result, two people in the other vehicle were hurt in the crash. Crews transported the victims to hospitals for treatment of significant injuries.
 
Ultimately, the truck driver returned to the site. Police took the suspect into custody on suspicion of hit and run before transporting him to a hospital for unknown injuries.
