BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 10, 2022) – Three people were injured in a head-on accident on Highway 65 in Bakersfield on Friday evening.
 
The accident happened a little before 8:45 p.m. on January 7, just north of Jackson Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided head-on for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they located the vehicles blocking both lanes of the highway. They also found three patients, two of them suffered major injuries.
 
Paramedics transported the seriously injured people to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
At this time, it is unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. An investigation is still ongoing.
