SANTA MARIA, CA (July 13, 2021) – Three people sustained injuries in an accident on East Battles Road on July 8.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at South Miller Street at approximately 9:53 PM.
 
Santa Maria and Santa Barbara County Fire Departments responded to the scene. Based on reports, emergency crews used a CalStar helicopter to airlift one of the victims to a hospital for treatment. The other victims were transported by a ground ambulance.
