Two Teens Among Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident on North Lyon Avenue in Hemet
HEMET, CA (April 28, 2021) – Paramedics sent three people to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident on North Lyon Avenue on April 22.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Commonwealth Avenue.
Based on a report, a white SUV and silver Mercury Cougar collided in the lanes. Prior to that, the SUV was traveling northbound on Lyon. At the same time, the Mercury was traveling westbound on Commonwealth and making a left turn onto southbound Lyon. Then, the Mercury struck the SUV. Subsequently, the Mercury careened into several trees and a wall.
As a result, three people from the SUV, including two young teens, suffered injuries. A 13-year-old boy suffered a fractured elbow and other traumatic injuries.
As of now, the City of Hemet Police Department is still investigating this accident on North Lyon Avenue. In addition, no other details about this case are available.
