15-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident near Hoover High School in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (October 6, 2022) – A 15-year-old boy sustained serious injuries in a pedestrian accident near Hoover High School on Tuesday evening.
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident happened on October 4 at about 6:00 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle hit the boy as he was crossing the road.
 
Emergency crews rushed the teen to CRMC for treatment of major injuries. As per reports, the victim remains in critical condition.
 
The driver of the vehicle initially left the scene and claimed she was unsure what she hit. However, she later called the police to report the incident.
 
Officers then met with the driver at Walgreens near Bullard Avenue and First Avenue. The driver reportedly took a sobriety test.
 
Fresno police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
