16-Year-Old Driver Suffers Serious Injuries after Crashing into Tree on Scripps Ranch Boulevard in Miramar Ranch North

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 28, 2021) – A 16-year-old driver suffered serious injuries after a car accident on Scripps Ranch Boulevard in Miramar Ranch North of San Diego.
 
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. on Monday, September 27. According to the San Diego Police Department, the male teen was driving a 2006 Toyota Camry in the 11500 block of Scripps Ranch Boulevard. The car was traveling eastbound when it veered into a landscaped center median for unknown reasons. It then collided into a tree.
 
As a result, the teen driver was badly injured. His 25-year-old male passenger had minor injuries. Paramedics transported them to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
Police are still trying to determine whether speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the accident.
