16-Year-Old Injured in Belmont Scooter Crash on Ralston Avenue
BELMONT, CA (December 13, 2024) — A teen on a scooter was hit by a car on Ralston Avenue at Notre Dame Avenue.
According to Belmont Police, the scooter accident happened around 4:00 p.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, an 85-year-old San Carlos resident struck the 16-year-old boy on a scooter. Authorities learned that the teen was crossing Ralston Avenue when the accident happened.
Moments later, paramedics responded and brought the victim to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver stayed at the scene as officers issued a citation. However, they did not specify the violation, only ruling out DUI.
