Murrieta Crash on Whitewood Road Kills 17-Year-Old Driver
MURRIETA, CA (March 28, 2021) – A 17-year-old driver died in a car accident on Whitewood Road in Murrieta late Thursday evening.
According to the Murrieta Police Department, the accident happened around 11:11 p.m., March 25, just north of Mapleton Street.
Investigators said a vehicle was traveling northbound on Whitewood Road when it left the roadway and slammed into a brick wall and a tree.
First responders found the teen driver unconscious and trapped in his vehicle. They extricated him and attempted life-saving measures, but the driver died at the scene.
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
