Teen Dead, Another Hospitalized in Car Accident on Ager Road near Shelly Road

 
MONTAGUE, CA (September 20, 2022) — A teenager died and another sustained injuries in a car crash on Ager Road on Friday, September 16.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. on Ager Road north of Shelly Road.
 
CAL FIRE Siskiyou Unit rushed to the scene of the accident. When firefighters arrived, they found the teens ejected from the vehicle.
 
Medics transported one teenager to the hospital. After that, they transferred them to UC Davis Children’s Medical Center.
 
The other teen succumbed to fatal injuries and died.
 
The CHP stated both young high school students did not wear their seat belts at the time of the incident. They do not believe intoxication played a role in the crash.
 
Officials continue to investigate.
