17-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident on Picador Boulevard in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 26, 2022) – A 17-year-old boy sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Picador Boulevard on Monday morning.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened on July 25 shortly after 8:00 a.m. The teen was crossing west to east when he was hit by a southbound 2012 Hyundai Elantra in the 800 block of Picador Boulevard.
 
Emergency crews transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of a fractured left femur and a six-inch cut to his left hip. As per reports, the boy is in stable condition.
 
Meanwhile, the 53-year-old Hyundai driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
San Diego police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
