59-Year-Old Susana Russel Dies after Struck by Vehicle near Douty and Eight Streets

 
HANFORD, CA (December 7, 2021) – Susana Russel was killed in a pedestrian accident in Hanford on Tuesday last week, November 30.
 
The fatal accident happened near Douty Street and Eight Street. According to the Hanford Police Department, the 59-year-old pedestrian as walking in the middle of the road when a pickup truck hit her.
 
The impact caused Russel major injuries. Paramedics rushed her to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where she later died.
 
The driver of the pickup stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
Investigators say Russel was using the crosswalk when the crash happened.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident. Further investigation is underway.
