Stephen McGuire Dead, Joshua Petro Detained in Crash at 7-Eleven on Ball Road near Anaheim Boulevard

 
ANAHEIM, CA (August 19, 2021) Stephen McGuire died when a driver ran over him at a 7-Eleven parking lot on Ball Road near Anaheim Boulevard last Saturday.
 
According to Anaheim Police, the fatal incident happened around 12:38 a.m. For unknown reasons, 32-year-old Joshua Michael Petro ran over 36-year-old McGuire of El Monte.
 
Upon responding to reports, officers found McGuire with grave injuries and rushed him to a hospital where he died shortly thereafter.
 
In the investigation, police learned that the driver deliberately ran over him but fled the scene. Not long after, police traced down Petro at a motel and arrested him.
