Deputy Involved in 2-Vehicle Accident on Highway 99 at Kiernan Avenue in Salida
SALIDA, CA (December 2, 2021) – A Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputy suffered injuries in an accident on Highway 99 on November 30.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Kiernan Avenue around 1:30 PM.
Based on a report, the on-duty deputy’s cruiser was coming off the highway at the time of the crash. As the victim pulled into the exit’s intersection, an Acura struck the driver’s side of the cruiser.
As a result, the drivers of both vehicles suffered minor injuries in the crash. The deputy suffered shoulder pain while the 37-year-old female driver of the Acura had complaints of shoulder pain and a small cut on her right hand.
At this point, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident. Also, no other details are available.
