Southbound Coaster Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 12th Street in Del Mar

 
DEL MAR, CA (December 8, 2021) – Police confirmed the death of a pedestrian in a fatal accident on 12th Street on December 6.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Seagrove Park shortly before 9:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, a passenger train was traveling southbound in the tracks at the time of the crash. At the same time, the pedestrian was also on the stretch of ocean-front rails near Seagrove Park. Then, the southbound Coaster train hit the man at the western terminus of 12th Street.
 
As a result, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said that the victim died at the scene.
 
At this point, the investigation into the crash is still ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
