Skateboarder Struck, Injured by Vehicle on Hotel Circle

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 12, 2021) — A skateboarder was hit and injured by a car on Hotel Circle near the 5 Freeway Sunday night.
 
According to the San Diego Police, the crash happened around 8:15 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a 19-year-old driver heading westbound in a 2015 Dodge Dart struck the 33-year-old skateboarder.
 
Per reports, the driver did not see the skateboarder prior to the impact.
 
As a result, the skater suffered a major open fracture to his right leg and other life-threatening injuries. At this time, officers have not confirmed if the driver will face any charges.
