DUI Accident on Highway 78 in Vista Injures 6, One Arrested

 
VISTA, CA (March 24, 2021) – Six people were injured in a DUI accident on Highway 78 in Vista Saturday evening, March 20.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened just after 7:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway west of Melrose Drive.
 
CHP officials said multiple vehicles collided, one of them had rolled over and sustained major damage. First responders sent four victims, in varying conditions, to the hospital. Two others were treated at the scene.
 
A female driver of a white vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
An investigation into this accident is active and ongoing.
