Anthony Danielson, Jason Danielson, Sierra Jensen Hurt, Kathryn Shubat Charged in Maxwell Car Accident

 
MAXWELL, CA (October 6, 2022) Sierra Jensen was among four people injured in a DUI car crash on the 5 Freeway near Maxwell Road.
 
According to the Williams Area California Highway Patrol center, the two-vehicle collision happened around 5:25 p.m. on Monday. For DUI-related reasons, 24-year-old Kathryn Shubat allowed her vehicle to crash into a white Ford truck towing a small utility trailer.
 
Per reports, Shubat was moving at a high rate of speed prior to the impact.
 
Due to the force, the truck overturned after veering onto the right shoulder.
 
Two passengers riding in the Ford truck — 19-year-old Jason Danielson and 20-year-old Jensen — suffered injuries, some of which were major for Jensen. The Ford driver, 22-year-old Anthony Danielson sustained minor wounds.
 
Not long after, paramedics brought Jensen to Enloe Medical Center in Chico for treatment while authorities questioned Shubat and arrested her for DUI.
 
At this time, officers believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in the accident. However, the case requires more investigation. If anyone has news on this crash, please call the CHP.
