Citrus Heights Woman Dies in Head-On Crash on Highway 4 in Stanislaus County

 
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (June 2, 2021)Sheryl Liv died in a head-on accident in northern Stanislaus County Sunday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. on May 30, in the area of Highway 4 west of Dunton Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 43-year-old woman from Citrus Heights was driving a gray 2002 Nissan Maxima westbound on the highway. For unknown reasons, she was weaving back and forth and crossed the yellow lines right into the path of a black 2016 Dodge Ram pickup truck that was traveling east on the highway.
 
The two vehicles collided head-on, causing the Nissan to overturn and land on its passenger side.
 
As a result, Liv sustained serious injuries. Paramedics rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
 
The Dodge driver, a 61-year-old Calaveras man, was uninjured.
 
At this time, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
