Sherrie Keener Detained, Michael Keener Hurt, Phoebe Paiva Unharmed in Garberville Car Crash

 
GARBERVILLE, CA (August 11, 2022)— Sherrie Keener was arrested in Tuesday’s suspected DUI accident on Highway 101 near Highway 271.
 
According to a traffic report news release, the two-vehicle accident happened around 3:05 p.m. on Highway 101. For possible DUI-related reasons, 54-year-old Sherrie Keener allowed her southbound 2016 Chevrolet pickup truck to veer off the west edge of Highway 101 and strike a stopped eastbound-facing 2019 Hino Box Truck attempting a turn onto the southbound lanes.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded to the scene and took Sherrie to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment of major injuries.
 
Another team treated 61-year-old Michael Keener at the scene for minor injuries. Two juveniles also riding in the Chevrolet evaded injuries, as did Phoebe Paiva, the driver of the box truck.
