Sharly Thao Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 94 near Campo

 
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA (July 8, 2022) — Sharly Thao died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 94 near Campo on Sunday morning.
 
According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, 28-year-old Thao crashed his motorcycle around 10:30 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, the San Marcos man, riding with a group of riders, traveled off the road and struck a curb as he was moving an estimated 35 miles per hour.
 
Shortly after, emergency personnel and law enforcement responded to the scene to render life-saving efforts. However, efforts fell short, and Thao died at the scene.
 
At this time, investigators have not confirmed the leading cause of the crash. However, anyone with information on this accident should contact the California Highway Patrol.
