Seven Hurt in Van Nuys Three-Car Accident on 405 Freeway

 
VAN NUYS, CA (March 23, 2021) — Seven people were injured in a major car accident on the 405 Freeway near Sherman Way Sunday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car collision happened around 4:35 p.m. Under unknown circumstances, three cars collided on the southbound freeway. As a result, seven people sustained moderate injuries and required hospital care.
 
Following the accident, crews closed the No. 3 and 4 southbound lanes for an investigation.
