OAKDALE, CA (August 5, 2022) — A sergeant was hit and injured by a car on F Street near Oak Avenue on Wednesday.
 
According to Oakdale Police Department, the pedestrian accident happened around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday. When an officer from the Oakdale Police Department responded to reports of a two-car collision, a second accident occurred.
 
An officer trying to investigate the initial crash was hit by an oncoming driver while directing traffic.
 
Shortly after, paramedics reached the scene and brought the sergeant to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
