Pedestrian Accident Closes Lanes on 5 Freeway at Jelly’s Ferry Road in Red Bluff
RED BLUFF, CA (April 15, 2022) – Police responded to the scene after a semi-truck hit a pedestrian in an accident on northbound 5 Freeway on April 8.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Jelly’s Ferry Road.
Based on a report, the pedestrian was in the lanes at the time of the crash. Due to unknown circumstances, a tractor-trailer came and struck the victim.
After the crash, reports from the scene showed the person was conscious.
Also, the incident affected the flow of traffic in the northbound lane of the freeway as well as the second lane near Jelly’s Ferry Road.
Additional reports showed the victim was acting like they wanted to be hit.
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. Also, no other details are available.
