Sean Colwell Struck, Killed by Car on Highway 46 near Buena Vista Drive in Paso Robles

 
PASO ROBLES, CA (January 21, 2022) – Authorities identified 35-year-old Sean Casey Colwell of Atascadero as the pedestrian killed in an accident on Highway 46, Wednesday evening.
 
According to the Paso Robles Police Department, the incident happened on January 19, at about 6:50 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, Colwell was walking in the westbound lane of Highway 46. Then, a passenger vehicle hit the victim near Buena Vista Drive.
 
As per reports, two other vehicles attempted to avoid the downed victim. But investigators believe that the vehicles may have also struck Colwell.
 
Emergency crews pronounced Colwell dead at the scene.
 
Responders closed the area for several hours to make way for an investigation.
