Samerrit Graves Dies in 2-Car Accident, Leaping Off Ramp near 580 Freeway and 80 Freeway Interchange

 
OAKLAND, CA (February 23, 2023) — Samerrit Graves died after jumping off the freeway’s overpass following a two-car accident near the 580 Freeway and the 80 Freeway interchange.
 
According to the Alameda County Corners Office, 42-year-old Samerrit Brown Graves passed away moments after the 4:30 a.m. crash Wednesday.
 
Under unclear circumstances, two vehicles, including that of Graves, crashed on the ramp from the westbound 580 Freeway to the eastbound 80 Freeway. For some reason, Graves leaped off the overpass, got up and began walking away. However, she was discovered near Hannah and 34th Street with fatal injuries.
 
Authorities have not released information on why she jumped off the 20-foot overpass. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm any unclear details.
