Salvador Pantoja Detained in Deadly San Jose Pedestrian Accident

 
SAN JOSE, CA (December 8, 2021) — Salvador Pantoja was arrested in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Tully Road near Quimby Road on Monday evening.
 
According to the San Jose police department, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 7:30 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, 55-year-old Pantoja struck a 51-year-old woman walking outside of a marked crosswalk as he drove his 2008 Nissan pickup southbound on Tully Road.
 
Shortly after, Pantoja fled the scene, leaving the female victim with fatal injuries.
 
Three hours later, Pantoja surrendered to San Jose police, who indicated that drugs and alcohol did not factor into the crash.
